Is it possible to build codelite 5.1 on ubuntu 10.10
I'm using ubuntu 10.10, so I have this question.

Yes, it is possible to build codelite for ubuntu 10.10 ( I don't see why not )
You should have: an updated cmake
wxWidgets 2.9.4 (self compiled or you can install one from our repository as described here: http://codelite.org/LiteEditor/WxWidgets29Binaries )
And from there - just follow the instructions as described here:
http://codelite.org/Developers/Linux
