The tab behavior seem to have changed in 8.0 again. It seems to happen when a tab character is present at a tab stop. Earlier versions of the editor have had issues with this and I have formatted my code to accommodate it -- now it has reverted...
Secondly the Right Margin Indicator is off by 9. To get it to sit at column 80 it has to be set to 89.

Try resetting the font. Settings->Colours and Fonts->General->Global Font
