Codelite closes when creating new workspace

First the technical information: I am using Mint 16 Petra MATE 1.6.1. I am using codelite v2.8.0.4537

First I open the Workspace menu and then click "Create New Workspace"

Then the "New Workspace" dialog appears

Then I type a name for the workspace

Have the path "/home/username/.codelite"

Have "Create the workspace under separate directory" checked

When I click the "Create" button codelite closes.

Does anyone know a solution to this issue? Please help.

P.S. This is also happening at the college I go to. The machines there have Linux Mint 17 (qiana) MATE 1.8.0 installed.

Hi,

I am using codelite v2.8.0.4537

...which is about 200 years old , and unsupported. It just happens to be the version in the official ubuntu repo.

The current version is 6.0.1, and you can get it from our repo as described here.
