Building using existing "configure" and "makefile"

Hi to all.

I am new to CoreLite IDE. I am trying to develop PostgreSQL source code using CodeLite.

I created a new workspace and imported all the folders unpacked from the source package:
http://www.postgresql.org/ftp/source/v8.4.2/

As you can imagine, PostgreSQL has got its own "configure" and "makefile" and I don't know how to build it correctly using those.
I have got some building errors using CodeLite even if running the usual "configure", "make", "make install" by terminal is successful.

Any suggestion, please?

Hi Eran.

Thanks for your reply and sorry for not having seen that page before.
I am following those instructions and I don't know how to fill the "build" field. In other words, where to place the "make" and "make install" commands?

open the project settings dialog, select the 'Custom Build' tab and double click on the 'Build' entry in the list.

A new dialog will open for you: simply type 'make'
If you want to add new 'make install' click on the 'New' button

Thanks for your instructions: they where correct since from the start but they didn't worked for me because I choose the wrong "working directory".
Now everything takes much more sense.

The current problems for me are:
1) I am unable to run the configure command
2) I am unable to execute the "Install" command

As for point 1) I have been following the instructions for executing a particular "configure command". Actually I must run:
./configure --enable-debug --enable-depend --enable-cassert CFLAGS="-O0"

and this command does work when running it from terminal. When I execute it with "Run other" I get

which says there's an "error 2" written on the third line and then it ends with that " 0 errors, 0 warnings" written on the fifth line.

As for point 2) I cannot execute the "Install" command as I have defined into the "Custom Build" section. When I run it from "Custom Build Target" I get the following error:

This is because you probably need a tty to use 'sudo' and codelite cant handle that properly. If you really need to install something you could:
- Run it from the command line
- Run codelite under 'sudo' :

To upgrade codelite, you will need to download codelite from SF.net since the maintainer of codelite @ubuntu did not package codelite 2.1.x yet (you are still using codlite v1.X)
