codelight crash on launch in ubuntu 14.04

I have installed codelight from ubuntu software center (trusty 14.04)
when i add workspace it closed and nothing happen.
the version of codelight is 2.8.0.4537

can you please help resolving this issue ??

Hi,

The CodeLite 2.8 that you have installed is horribly out of date, and we don't support it. However you can find the latest version, 9.0, here.
