CodeLite 5.3 (Windows) - All blank lines removed?

Hi!
I'm using CodeLite 5.3 on Windows and whenever I try to format my code, all blank lines (including lines containing only whitespaces) get removed from the selected section. This clumps all the functions together, rendering the tool unusable for me.
I see this same problem has been discussed back in 2011.
