Re: How to translate codelite into other languages
Hi,
Is there a French translation?
Not as far as I know. CodeLite comes with 4 translations, and I don't know of any others.
Would you like to create a French one?
Regards,
David

I'm sure it is. Thank you for doing it.
But you made me think about shortcuts, and I wondered if AI does this nowadays. Yes, it does: see Transifex, which is currently offering a 2 week free trial...

Re: How to translate codelite into other languages
Thanks.
Currently I'm under 'Leap-15.6', I use 'Poedit' and 'Deepl' (use 'IA') under 'Firefox-136' and 'codelite.pot'
The problem is that we have to read the strings manually one by one :
1- the entry of the original text in 'Poedit'
2- deposit it in the translation window of 'Deepl'
3- request the translation
4- copy the translation
5- deposit it in place in 'Pedit'
In fact, the two transfers that need to be reduced are 'Deepl' <=> 'Poedit'.
On the other hand, I'd like to keep the method permanent and free of charge.
I haven't analyzed the '*.mo' loading code yet, but is it possible to split it into several ? :
'codelite.mo', 'plugin1.mo', 'plugin2.mo', ...
This would make it possible to work on lighter files in several stages.

Sorry, but I have no knowledge or experience of that sort of thing.
