It's out for awhile, codelite and wxwidgets for Windows still use 4.7
Would you please tell me some roadmap or release date?

Thanks.

I don't use the official MinGW builds as it has its problem, over the years I found that TDM GCC is the most stable version out there and recommended by people (especially from the wxWidgets community)

Atm, the latest version of TDM-GCC is 4.7.1 and this is what codelite uses.

So when TDM will release 4.8 - codelite will be using 4.8 ;)

Since 2013 · September 28th:

TDM-GCC is pleased to present new toolchain releases based on GCC 4.8.1.

(maybe wait a little, it seems to have few problems according to code::Blocks forum).

Yes, I saw it couple of days ago ;)

The first thing I thought was about this post: "damn, I thought I bought myself some time before John will release 4.8.1 :D"

BTW, I already downloaded installed and tested a sample app to see if it works.
Porting codelite to 4.8.1 is at least a one day work... I will wait a bit and see that all C::B forum complaints are satisfied before I will put some effort into this

Sorry no. I was busy with finalizing the release, I could not afford myself to invest more time on changing compiler
Now that 5.3 is out, it will definitely make it into the next release
