Hi Eran,
with vanilla CL, tabs closed to the left of the active tab will not trigger a shift left. This is solved by my pull request's first commit (https://github.com/kluete/codelite/comm ... 1cf90526c0).
To avoid the tab jitter you can either ignore the 2nd commit (https://github.com/kluete/codelite/comm ... 84cfc8bcd9) or let me know how screen-clipped tabs should be handled.
