Codelite on Ubuntu 14.04

Edit: Just realized I was installing the latest weekly build, not the stable version (will try the stable version now). But leaving post just for info.

I just tried to install the latest .deb file from this website (9.0.7) and the Ubuntu (14.04) installer first warned me that

"An older version of "codelite" is available in your normal software channels. Only install this file if you trust the origin."

The repository version is 2.8 so went ahead with the installation. However, then it gives this warning:

"The package is of bad quality

The installation of a package which violates the quality standards isn't allowed. This could cause serious problems on your computer. Please contact the person or organisation who provided this package and file and include the details beneath.

Lintian check results for /home/user/Downloads/CodeLite-9.0.7-ubuntu-trusty-x86_64.deb:
E: codelite: control-file-has-bad-permissions md5sums 0664 != 0644"

You can safely ignore the BS warnings coming from lintian...
If you don't, install *our* official version (9.0) and not the repository version (2.8...) from here:
