Dark Toolbar

I use the single toolbar, and I've tried modifying the various preferences, but it looks like this (not dark).

If I deselect the "use single toolbar", I get no toolbar:

I've tried the "Classic Dark" icon set and I've tried both "Large" and "Small" icon sizes, but the result was the same.

Questions:
1. Is it possible to get a dark single toolbar without changing Windows' UI settings?
2. Is the absence of the toolbar a bug or user error?

Codelite 5.2, Windows 8 Pro, Official Build.

btw. I love the "Dark" changes in 5.2. When you spend all day in your IDE, it really makes a difference.

Is the absence of the toolbar a bug or user error?

Go to settings -> perspective -> restore default layout
It will bring the toolbar back
