Thank you david.. I've changed to ubuntu 9.04.. No probs and i installed codelite too from the ubuntu repositories.. I've posted my query regarding autocompletion in a separate thread just to improve readability.. Thanks... Anyhow i've to accept that i failed to make it work in mandriva...
